Who we are
Heron Rock Bistro was founded in 2005 by Andrew Moffatt and Ben Peterson. Their vision then was to create a meeting place that locals could depend on 7 days a week for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Keep it simple, consistent and good:
Use quality ingredients put together by great people in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
For the past 20 years we have been doing just that.
People is the key ingredient.

ANDREW MOFFATT
Owner/operator
Andrew was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. It was there that he first fell in love with the restaurant industry. He is also an owner of our sister restaurant, Crooked Goose Bistro. Andrew loves chatting with our guests and connecting with the community of James Bay.
Chris started at Heron Rock as a dishwasher shortly after we opened in 2005. Since then he has worked almost every position at the restaurant, including a short stint in front of house. It was a no brainer when the opportunity came to buy into the restaurant in 2017.
